I was doing my daily blog browsing and checked out Conservative Grapevine to find a link to a joke on The People’s Cube (the link to the joke is here). I’m not going to post the joke: go read it there.

However, I found it amusing, and filled with much truth. Politics is definitely getting in the way of the war effort. For example, even though the surge is working, things are beginning to turn around in Iraq, and we are finally getting the Iraqi people to back us with less and less fear, we’re still hearing calls from stupid politicians (some are Republicans even) more worried about their own image than the long term damage that a quick pull out from Iraq would cause. What a sad time for America…
