Her family can (potentially) have her involuntarily committed because she is a danger to herself (depending on the state, YMMV). Rape is so insideous, especially when you know your rapist, and I can't imagine having that abuse happen multiple times over many years. Until she gets help she is going to continue to seek dysfunctional and damaging relationships. The key is she has to be open to that help.
