From 1 of the 48 to the 52
Dear 52,
Thank you for your warm-hearted attempt at bringing the country back together with photos and words of support. I’ve noticed that many of you have booked an event on facebook wanting to treat a Republican to lunch. Well, I have to say that I am rather surprised, so I have my own pictorial response below the fold. I was expecting to hear a lot of gloating and condescension from your side after this election. Some of you didn’t disappoint in your directness. Your hand-holding and comforting of your now fellow Americans along with your calls for unity to those who supported the losing candidate is quite inspiring in many ways. I especially appreciated your promise to listen to our views and not dismiss them. So, please stick to your promise since I have a few things to say.
Please continue reading for my pictorial response and explanation below:
Keep in mind that the above message wasn’t intended for all of you. Just most of you. If you don’t realize just how condescending and hypocritical you’re acting, then let me explain.
I remember the last eight years all too well. I’d like to know where those of you “reaching out” were eight years ago when many of you decided that George W. Bush wasn’t your president and the long fashionable trend of comparing his evilness directly to Hitler started. What about four years ago when the same assholes who put up your current site felt the need to apologize to the whole world that Americans re-elected Bush? What about his latest message to the world? (h/t AoSHQ) Asshole. How many of you also participated in that round of photo messages, you condescending hypocrites. You didn’t think that would work to further divide the country in a time of war? Yes, I know, you didn’t support the war or the troops. Don’t say you did when your actions of dividing the country directly lead to more troop deaths you guys played into the strategy of our enemies straight from the beginning. No, I’m not saying not to protest, but if you’re going to do it, at least have the balls to admit the effects.
I can sort of overlook that though. If it wasn’t also for the fact that you assholes didn’t step up and defend defend us everytime you’ve heard someone accuse us of racism, of not caring about the poor (when conservatives give significantly more to charities than liberals), of being unpatriotic and selfish because we don’t want to pay more taxes (see previous link about charitable giving), of being gun-clinging, ignorant, rednecks, and I can go on and on (do you really need to see links to these gaffes from Obama, Biden, and Murtha?). WHERE WERE YOU? The impression I got was that you agreed with those assessments. So why are you reaching out to us ignorant types now? You’ve dismissed us and objectified us for well over eight years now. Why are we to believe that this is genuine? Here are links for those of you too young or too in the dark to remember: (, here a guy expressing his opinion of middle america, which I imagine many of you might agree with, here’s some fun at Christians, here, here, here, and especially here)
Where were you when the media and Obama’s thugs violated Joe the Plumber’s Right to Privacy just because he asked Obama a question to which your “Dear Leader” gave an embarassing answer? What about the butchering of Palin at the hands of the same thugs? Everyone who encounters that woman says she is very smart, a quick learner, and a very genuine person. Most of the bad things you’ve heard were lies (e.g., she didn’t try to ban any books, she didn’t force rape victims to pay for rape kits, Trig really is her baby, etc).
But, rest assured, psychology understands this behavior. It’s called acting like a condescending child to us ignorant folks. In 2000, 2002, and 2004, we saw lots of you guys going to shrinks after Republicans won the elections. I think yall should keep going.
I’m sorry to break it to you. I don’t think the conservative movement is quite ready to roll over and let you “hold our hand” while we let you destroy this country. I agree with Hawkins. Bipartisanship can kiss my ass. It’s led to too many horrible programs under Bush. You guys just elected the most radically Leftist president in the history of this country. Even scarier is that many of his supporters buy into Marxist ideology, which makes stopping him that much harder. If he gets his way, the American experiment of self-rule and liberty will be ended. It’s already teetering on the edge now.
We’re about to learn the hard way that the price of Liberty is blood and individual sacrifice, and it can’t be bought with higher taxes and more government control.
Sincerely, with Love,
Davon
